Started out the day going swimming. Austin was too cute at the pool; he kept wanting to jump off the step into your arms. It's so nice to be nearby and watch him grow up.
After swimming I made a slight detour to good old WallyWorld to pay the hubs a visit. I think he appreciated it.
Then I made my way home for some delicious barbeque! My parents had some friends in town and we all chowed down on filet mignon, another kind of steak, sausage, potato salad, beans, etc. It was SO good. Oh and apple pie for dessert. We started this feast around 3 o clock.
Then by 6 o clock the Harris clan was ready for some dinner. So I headed over there and chowed down on grilled chicken, more sausage, rolls, pasta salad, cole slaw, and way too many desserts.
Man was I feeling large and in charge after all the food, but boy was it good!
Houston made it home early, had some left overs, then we piled in the car with Harley the Puppy Dog to catch some fireworks. Harley HATED the fireworks. I didn't think they'd be a big deal because last year we took her with us to watch them. But only later did I remember that we watched them on top of a mountain! DUH the noise didn't bother her! As soon as the fireworks started she freaked out and bolted! She ran full speed almost all the way back to our car before Houston caught up to her. Poor thing, Houston dragged her back to our little spot of blankets and then used her as a pillow to watch the fireworks to make sure she didn't run off again. I'm pretty sure we won't be taking her again.
*I don't know why blogger isn't letting me see my pictures anymore? every time I upload them, all I see in the text box is that ridiculous HTML code. Anybody know if there is a way to fix that so I can see the pics/move them around/write captions, etc?

#3 Yes Kaylee is big and says more than ever. She every once in a while tells me she wants to go see Stina and I have to tell her sadly that we cannot.

#5 We miss you and Hous badly but are happy you are having fun in Houston. Plan a cruise with the H-town folk and we'll come :)

Looks like you guys had a great time! I'm glad you get to spend it with family! We actually watched our fireworks from inside the air conditioned car. Pretty pathetic, but we used the excuse that we have not yet adjusted to the heat! :). Hope work is going well!
P.S. Sorry about your posts! When you're editing them, make sure you're on Compose and not Edit HTML (right above the preview button in the right hand corner of the editing box). That's happened to me a few times!

Happy that we were all together! I thought it was hilarious to see Harley just totally duck and run for her life when the first 'BOOM' went off!
