Valentine's Mini Vacation

Well, Houston had a few vacation days left at work so we decided to take advantage of them! So, we went down to Cedar City for a few days and had a grand old time. Our friends Shane and Shara came along for the fun too. On Friday we just stayed at the house and wasted a lot of time relaxing and playing Mario Kart and Boom Blocks on the Wii.

Some serious Mario Kart concentration

Saturday we took a drive down to St. George for some tasty In N Out and Shara educated us on the secret menu. After waiting in a super long line we enjoyed the In N Out awesomeness until a family of like 5 people practically sat down with us waiting for us to get up from the table. I literally had to ask the kid to move out of the way just so I could get out of the booth. Needless to say, they were just awesome! After lunch we made a little stop at Tai Pan, my fav! The guys were troopers, but it probably wasn't their favorite stop :) That night the boys took the ATVs out for a spin and Shara and I whipped up a little dinner.

Houston made some tasty heart shaped french toast
with some strawberry compote :) (houston doesn't understand how I know what it's called...hasn't anybody else been to IHOP? come on people!)

H and Shane gearing up

Sunday...we attempted to go to church. But we got there and the parking lot was packed, we walked in and realized we were probably an hour late for their Stake Conference. Oops! So much for trying to be holy and everything! It's the thought that counts right? So we came home, relaxed a bit, watched the girls while Shane and Shara took the ATVs out, then ate some of Houston's crazy spiced up pork chops. They were delicious...they just made me sneeze a lot! After Shane and Shara headed out, Houston and I drove up to Brianhead to spend a little time with his Aunt Julie and Uncle Russell. Their cabin was awesome! And, the drive up to Brianhead was gorgeous! I wish I had thought to take pictures of it, but oh well, maybe some other time.Houston practicing his babysitting skills

Harley just chillin in the car on the way to Brianhead

Monday was a gorgeous day. About 60 degrees and nice and sunny. So Houston and I took the ATVs out (what else is there to do in Cedar City??) and had an awesome time. Since all the snow was melting we definitely went mudding and came home absolutely disgusting, but it was so much fun! The pictures don't even do it justice.

Houston insisted on giving Harley a little spin - she thought it was pure torture

ready to go....still nice and clean

after the awesome mud fest

Thanks Victor and Janet for letting us occupy your house for a few days! We had an awesome time! You can tell the neighbors they can relax now :)
