The monday after her party was Elaina's actual birthday. Even though we had a big to-do over the weekend, I couldn't let the day go by without doing something fun! She woke up to streamers in her doorway and in the kitchen. We had a breakfast feast of birthday cake pancakes. And, Mimi surprised the birthday girl by riding her bike over to our house to eat breakfast with us!
We took our time watching her favorite shows and getting ready. She requested chicken nuggets from "donalds" for her birthday lunch. We did a quick run through the drive thru and met some of her besties at the park for a birthday picnic.

After playing for a little while, we sang happy birthday and polished off the cupcakes left over from her party.
That night after Daddy came home, we met Mimi and Papi at Cafe Express for dinner. Elaina loves their kids pasta and it's in town square, so we promised her we could play by the fountain after dinner. She is obsessed with walking around and around and around the fountain with her Daddy. We stopped by Ben and Jerry's by the fountain for a little birthday ice cream too! Finally, we made it home to open birthday presents and facetime with Uncle Nicholas.
I'd say this little girl had a pretty awesome birthday! Love you my Laina bug!
