halloween fun

Well we kicked off the halloween weekend on Friday with our church Trunk or Treat, which was rockin with some inflatables/bouncy houses, corn dogs, popcorn, candy, and games. By far one of the fanciest trunk or treats I've ever been to! After hitting up the church we went with Houston's fam to CiCi's for a little pizza buffet. And after that we all partook in the traditional pumpkin carving. Talk about hard to find pumpkins to carve around here! I was spoiled in Utah, there were pumpkins on every corner and you could get an awesome pumpkin for $2.50. In Houston, not so much. Oh well, we still forked out a fortune (of $5.99 per pumpkin) to fulfill the tradition.

the finished product - from right to left: victor & janet's, julies, houston's, nick's, mine, and forrest & sarah's
we ended up leaving all our pumpkins at houston's parents' house because I figured they would actually have trick or treaters. They were the talk of the neighborhood due to all our awesome pumpkin carving skills. :)

Last night we spent Halloween at Houston's parents house because Austin was going to be going trick or treating for the first time and holidays are always more fun with little kids around!

Austin the golfer - he was SO cute! He loved trick or treating! He couldn't say trick or treat but after they gave him candy he would always say "thank you!" "buh byeee!"

all in all it was a pretty fun weekend!

oh yay so cute! seriously, totally took living in Utah being for granted. It's just not the same without corn mazes and pumpkins for sale on every corner. I couldn't find very many pumpkins here-- and then since it's so warm here, our pumpkins died VERY quickly...so they were gone by the week before Halloween. Sad. Thank goodness they weren't as cool as your pumpkins tho! Otherwise, I'd be devastated :) glad you had a good one!!!

Ah adorable! Glad you guys had so much fun! Those pumpkins are fantastic! We used to paint our pumpkins growing up because they'd rot too quickly lol :)
