Conference Weekend

Last weekend we had the opportunity to go to Houston's mission reunion. We haven't gone the last few times but since we're moving soon, Houston thought we should go since we probably won't be around for the next one. We went with Jay and Kara and Kevin and HolliJo. Jay, Kevin, and Houston all served together and I don't mind going to things like this when I have other wives to talk to, especially when they're good friends of mine! It was really nice and the mission president said a lot of really nice things; it was a good way to kick off General Conference.

The only disappointing thing about the reunion was the lack of food! We all (specifically me and Holli!) expected some dinner and all they had were some brownies! So, needless to say we were in dire need of some good eats. So, after the reunion we headed over to Iggy's, our new favorite hangout. Houston has even said that he likes it more than Chili's! If you know Houston, you know a comment like this is just unheard of!

On Sunday we all headed over to the Pack's house for Miss Kennady's baby blessing. It was a really beautiful blessing; there's just something incredibly special about baby blessings. They always make me cry. And, after the blessing everybody partook of some delicious food and surprisingly enough, all of the five bajillion green bean casseroles were eaten! :)
