Rise and Shout

...the Cougars are out!!

Well, football season has officially begun! This is my last football season as an official BYU student so Houston and I, once again, bought season tickets with our friends just because we could...and we love BYU football of course!! The opening game was a week ago, against Northern Iowa. In past years the seats for the student season passes would rotate, so you sat in a different seat each game. I thought this was fair, some games you had great seats other games you had not so great seats but it evened out. This year they decided to make our seats permanent, so we have the same seats for every game. At first I was a little weary, "what if our seats stink and we're stuck with them for the whole season??" Well turns out our seats aren't too shabby!! We are in the north end zone on the second row!! From our seats, sometimes it's hard to get a grasp on what's going on further down the field but we have a great view for touchdowns and we are in a perfect spot to win free stuff from the cheerleaders!! First game and Houston already snatched up a free Costa Vida t-shirt that had a coupon for a free entree inside! Awesome! To make it even better we won this game 41-17! Here's to a great season!
The boys: Ryan, Houston, and Kevin...everyone else has already moved on so this is what is left of our football crew

Kevin and HolliJo's brother - this is his first semester up at BYU and we all hope he has a great time!Me and Hthe BYU flags making their way around the stadium after a TD

the "George Q" cannon - I've always thought that was the most clever name and it makes me laugh every time! The Army ROTC shoots off the cannon after every time we score
Then the Army ROTC does push ups for however many points we have!

Cosmo watchin the action

Max Hall warming up after half-time

And my favorite pic I took the whole day! Austin Collie and Dennis Pitta getting ready for the second half!

*yesterday we played University of Washington and won 28-27! Close game, glad we won, hope our defense works on a few things before our game against UCLA next weekend! My daddy is coming to visit for the first time this next weekend and he is coming to the game on Saturday so I hope our boys in blue show him what Cougar football is all about... Go Cougs!!
