ro-dee-oh round two

The rodeo usually falls right around Houston's birthday.  This year we kicked off H's birthday week with rodeo fun and the Pitbull concert! I drove downtown after I got off work and parked in H's parking garage.  We caught a ride on the metrorail and rode it over to Reliant.  Once we got there we beelined it for some ridiculously unhealthy/delicious fair food.
Htown's choice: pie tin fried shrimp, french fries, and fried boudain balls.
I'm usually not a huge boudain fan but these were SOOOO good.

my food of choice: corn dog. always.

and for dessert: fried chocolate chip cookie dough on a stick.
AHHH died and gone to heaven.

After gorging ourselves on fried food delicacies we trekked into the stadium for some rodeo fun.  Houston's personal favorite is bull riding. My personal favorite is always mutton bustin.  We didn't miss either one so we were happy campers.

And then, the real fun started!  Of course, since this was kick off to birthday week, we saw none other than Mr. Worldwide, Mr. 305... Pitbull, himself.  It was AWESOME.  I have been to many a Rodeo Houston concert in my lifetime.  I have never seen the rodeo quite that hoppin.  Pitbull turned that place into a club! H wanted to dance so bad and was getting really bitter that nobody in our section was standing up.  The two sections on either side of us were all standing up dancing.  But, about three songs into the concert this drunk college kid came and sat behind us.  He started climbing into the row behind him and dancing with a random girl sitting up there, then he climbed back down to his row and started dancing with two girls there! He was hilarious.  His crazy shenanigans got a bunch of people standing up though so Houst was excited.  We spent the rest of the evening on our feet like dancing fools! Crazy awesome fun.
see. dancing fools. told ya.

And, to top everything off, at the end of the concert this girl behind us tapped me on the shoulder and offers to take our picture.  YES please! So, as she's taking the picture she says, "I know you'll want a picture so you can remember this in the morning."  After, she left we both looked at each other like what did she say?? She totally thinks we're drunk! hahahaha! No, not drunk, just THAT awesome! :)
