birthday eggstravaganza

get it? birthday on easter = birthday eggstravaganza!

The night before Easter, we came home after Elaina's birthday party and our neighbors had left her an easter basket on the doorstep.  It was so sweet and she loved it!

And before I went to bed, the easter bunny came and set out some easter goodies.

Elaina got a new dress for easter, some beloved yogurt melts, and stuff for the pool this summer!

When she woke up the morning of her birthday, Houston and I walked in her room (accompanied by Harley of course!) singing happy birthday.  Oh, that girl is such a ham! She just ate it up!

Then we mosied on down stairs for our Easter goodies.  That girl knows what she likes! She went straight for the yogurt melts!

We hurried out of the house and headed over to my padres for some breakfast.  My sister and scotty were headed out soon so we had our easter festivities early.  Elaina had migas for the first time and thought they were delicious. Rightfully so.

After church we had a little Easter dinner/birthday party at Houston's parents house.  Nana had the patio all festive for the occasion.

Elaina even got to open some more presents when she woke up from her nap.

Surprise! The easter bunny was sneaky and came while we were all in the back yard eating dinner! He left baskets for the kids and eggs all over the front lawn.

love this kid! he was crackin me up with his helmet on!  And, he was so excited about his easter basket loot.  He kept telling his Nana, "the easter bunny is SO nice!"

To Janet's dismay we brought over the leftover confetti eggs!  Since Austin missed out on them the day before I had to show him how much fun they are! Even Houston was excited to show him.  Some of the adults...not so much.

After our little easter egg hunt we had sang happy birthday and had some cupcakes for dessert. Elaina loved it once again.  She's not lacking special attention that's for sure!

That just about wraps up our crazy busy, crazy fun birthday/easter weekend!
