A week and a half ago we took Elaina to her first basketball game. For a few weeks leading up to it Houston had mentioned wanting to go to the Rockets game when they played the Kings so he could see Jimmer play. But, I told him it was his thing so if he wanted to go he could go ahead and plan it! Well...he's a guy. The day of the game came and we still didn't have tickets, Houston had a meeting downtown for school at 6:30, and the game started at 7... it just didn't sound like the best idea. But, since he is always gone with school and work, Houston insisted that we go. So, at 6:15 I bought tickets on stubhub for 4 bucks each, Houston went to pick them up, I met him downtown at his meeting, and we walked over to the Toyota Center to enjoy the game. We got there super late but it was all about doing something fun together. We were a little worried that Elaina would get cranky since the game went way passed her bedtime, but she was awesome! She loved it! She loved the lights and the music and had the best time. I love little moments like these when we get to do things as a little family. With law school it seems like moments like these are few and far between. The Rockets won - yay! But, Jimmer barely played - boo!
